I bought a mount for my digital camera to video my track days, but I've been trialing it this weekend, the mount is superb but my camera has an interal microphone so it pics up a lot of vibration coming through the camera.

So I need a camera with an external mic that uses a SD card for easy transfer to PC without having to mess around with digital recorders etc

Any help muchly appreciated.

Yeah, I just found them on another website for £114 quid but again they have interal microphones so I might have the same issues.

nope, read the spec. You can turn down the microphone sensitivity.

I did just read the spec didn't say anything about microphone sensitivity.

In that case it's a bargain

Although I am tempted by this

There's a hi/low volumne setting. Check the videos I posted on weekendracer to see how it deals with being 2ft from my exhaust etc

The one I was looking at was just a normal Go Pro, not the Go Pro Wide that AK is selling.

What one do you have Dave? As I know you got your one a while ago, I saw the thread on Migweb.

Mines go Pro 'normal'. The wide one just has a better lense/res.

Excellent. I'll give my camera another try and if I can't get rid of the vibration noise I'll have to get one.

Ollie - The 6 we bought are gone, but if you'd like the WIDE I can look into getting it for £155 like the rest.

I think I'd rather just spend the £200 on this one if I'm going to spend £155.

Luigi, I looked at them but that might not solve the issue of the vibration noise.

So that camera can be attached to the mount, and you can remove the suctions? then why dont u get that and stop procastinating.

I got the Go Pro Wide, can't really recommend it enough. No vibration noise or anything like that. Just depends what you want.

That mini DVR1 looks pretty decent, but I got a similar bullet cam for £200 a couple of years back and the quality was awful.

Oh, that threw a spanner in the works. Someone else just mentioned the quality of the picture as well.

It's not really that bad, but for £200 it's not great. If you are mounting it in a car, why don't you consider a proper camera? Bit more money, but the quality will be top notch and sound will be good too.

I bought the Go Pro as I wanted to mount it anywhere, you seem to just want it to go in the car, so no real issues if it falls off, unlike mine!
