Its worked out on my work rota i get tomoro and the next 3 days off work and ive got tonsilitus without any tonsils.

How is it tonsillitis though? Tonsillitis is an infection of the tonsils, which you don't have.
You just have a bacterial throat infection, not literally tonsillitis.
Why don't you run along to the doctors and get some anti-biotics, aye, aye?!

Surely it isn't strictly tonsillitis which probably has a separate Latin name anyway.

It's not a 'True' tonsilitis but it can effect the soft tissue beds where they once were and still get sores etc.. Yes it could be classed as a 'sore' throat but if the tonsils remained they would be affected as before.

Been the doctors hence why i know what it is. When ur tonsils are removed there is a chance they dont get all of them so u can still get the infection but it gets all the back of ur throat not just tonsil area.
