sorry for the vague title........
i've been asked at work to sort out a kind of fault monitor system for our boiler. basically what they want is for me to fit a bit of kit to the boiler controls that will automatically send SMS messages to our technicians whenever a fault occurs.
i have never done this before and i'm not really getting anywhere searching on google as i'm not sure exactly what these systems are called......anybody got any experience with this kind of thing?

They do similar for car alarms. I'd search down that road personally. Could probs use the same bit of kit.

Might be better off interfacing the boiler with a computer, sending a message over the internet?
