I have a new love and its called the WRC . What a weekend Went to watch the Super special stage in Cardiff sat night. The pre-event entertainment was fantastic - The Saturdays, the drift cars and the stunt driving. Best bit was all the ford RS's where brought out and put on display The new focus RS is amaizing, but the RS500 that was there was something else.
Then onto the main event - WOW Was very enjoyable and the cars where fantastic. The atmosphere inside the stadium was brill. Very good to watch and the noise some of the cars made was I do have picys but they are shite to be honest and i'll put them up later.
Anyway as a random decision brought on by Dave, me and drew decided to go the stages on the Sunday and watch WRC as it should be. We went to Port Talbot and watched stages 17 and 19. FCUK ME!!! is all i can say. I was blown away by how brilliant it was. Cardiff was good but this was a million times better. We was in spitting distance of the cars right on the edge of the road with the cars coming past us at about 60 70mph just after a slight corner which nearly caught a couple out. Unfortunatley no pics of the Sunday fun as we hadn't planned for it so the camera battery ran out. Have got it all on vid camera tho.
Like i said what picys i do have i shall post later.

I was there too, was an awsome weekend Did you pop down to the service park at all? That was worth the visit too. One of my old workmates was working on Valentino Rossi's car too the lucky bastard! One of my friends went out for their birthday in Swansea last Wednesday and Valentino was in the same restauraunt and came and sat down with them A proper nice bloke apparently

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

It was in Salou, 2006 i think. Weather was fantastic.I personally found it alot better than stood in a cold wet forest and was probably cheaper than going to rally wales.
Oh and Schrodingers cat: one must assume it is dead and alive as we cannot be certain. I like to think of it as dead

Due to my camera not having like a great zoom on it, the picys i did get weren't that great. Even tho we where 15 rows back from the front we where on the middle tier so it was still a little bit too far for the camera to be any good. The noise is imense tbh. I think its a great looking and sounding car. Fantastic in blue.

As Iain said, it was very difficult to get decent pics of the cars when you were in the spectators area. I managed to get this with a friends Nikon camera which I have never used before in my life so was pretty pleased with how it came out

the cars were coming down a hill in to a 90right and then a slight left with a hump that they were jumping over

If anyone wants to see a rally i highly recommend rallytravel. they were absolutely fantastic. Our hotel was like a hub of information and they were always on hand to help out with anything. Their mapbook was second to none and full of info on where to stand to get the best views and photos.
Would deffo use them again. We went as a group of 25 for a stag do to the spain rally.
