sorry i know its in the wrong place but thought this is where most people look first, if my engine management lights on and i take my car for a mot is it a straight fail?

Dont think so, but if its a sensor thats throwing a wobbly and it messes up your fueling and puts your emissions over that will fail

cheers matey thats a great help . im guessing its the egr valve playing up again. i had a nonce in a fiesta litrally sat on my back bumper coming home from work (engine was cold) and i gave my car abit of thrash to leave the fiesta and it came on. my mots monday.

A lot of people in the past have said just take the bulb out, obviously you will want to get the fault sorted though

just got back from mot centre and they have said they will do me the test but it might fail on emissions
