anyone have any ideas about how to upgrade to remote central locking from manual.
i gave it a go yesterday but i didnt get very far because it was a lot more confusing than i thought it would be. i have done it for a honda civic but from what i can see the corsa one is more complicated and harder to do.
ill get some pics of what im trying to fit aswell because its quite a few things like an alarm, immobiliser and shock sensors etc...
and any help will be much appreciated

iv never fitted one to a car with central ocking already, id just fit one solendoid to the drivers door and use the cars original central ocking to open the other doors, as this will be actuvated when the drivers soleniod fires

You just use the standard central locking system and wire the remote unit into it, the wires can be found near the ECU in the drivers footwell but cant remember the colours, theyre in the haynes manual though

forget all the standard centrel locking wiring,
wire it up as a stand alone system, so that the solendoid is connected to the rod that your door pin (the bit you pull up and down with your two fingers), when this goes up and down it triggers central locking

Thats a much harder wat of doing it to be honest, you dont even need to take the door pannels off and the standard locking system is more reliable than the cheap universal ones they sell.
Its just 2 wires in the drivers footwell, ground one to lock and ground the other to unlock, its that simple.
Might get chance to go out and look at my GSi in the garage later and tell you which ones it is

I bought one off ebay from hong knong. Cost 1p I think (£19 postage). My bro is an electrician and he made a new loom ect and fitted it in within a day. Worked a treat.

The english on that ad is very poor indeed! You dont need the solenoids, just need to wire it in as I said above, might need some help from a mate who is decent with electrics though. If you can email the instructions I might be able to help

the controller for the ebay rcl will have a close trigger and an open trigger. These need to be wired in to the corsa CL ECU close and open signal wires. I dont know what colours these are but im sure someone will enlighten us.

Fitted my own toad alarm and now the cars being broken in the garage I removed it earlier this week. Should be able to put some power to the car and remember which ones I used

This is what the wiring diagram/ instructions are but this is my version and changed the spelling because who ever wrote it cant spell. if there are parts that don't make sense its probably my fault.
i dont know much about solonoids / actuators but the bottoms one is a vacuum pump type. and im guessing the top one is mechanical or something

i think i figured it out now that diagram is kinda useless and is there to make the little booklet seem like it has useful information in it.
but i need the wiring diagram for the corsa's central locking ecu thing, if anyones got it, it will make my life alot easier

From that it looks like you will be using the middle top diagram for the corsa, is there any writing with it? I admire your patience with paint

Nah its the middle one, the one on the right is if you are fitting the cheap aftermarket motors and not using the cars own system. Ground the 2 that it says (yellow and yellow/black) and your left with the lock and unlock wires I mentioned earlier.
