Basically the paintwork on the back panel of my car was burst when someone decided to kick Dorris. The body work is now starting to oxidise( i think that's what it's called) and it's gonna be another week or two before I can get it sorted. Anyone got any suggestions on how to either stop or slow down the rusting process? Given the current weather, it's going at lightning speed.

Wouldn't worry 2 weeks isn't long enough to do any damage if it is already corroded.

If its getting fixed anyway just paint over it with a touch up pen or something, alternatively set fire to the car then phone your insurance

I am sorry, it wasn't smart, it wasn't funny and it certainly wasn't cool
(posted a mildly serious answer earlier)

Do it
Or smear a bit of grease on the bare metal to keep the weather out temporarily.
