Mate and his brother recently set up a blasting / powder coating firm and have recently taken on a few jobs from fairly big names one of them being:

Vauxhall BTCC Team:

This badboy turned up on Monday...

Dropping off two of these...

Both will be finished by midnight and loaded back onto the truck in the morning, ready for the new 888 casino livery.

Another big project car to fit in before they do my mates SWB Quattro shell in Jan and their own toy / demo car over christmas.

Nope they are blasting them, and straight back into the team wagon where they will then be sent for painting!

Do alot of work for M Sport hence why they got this job I believe, plus one of the guys that runs it used to work for M Sport before setting up on his own!

That is a 'genuine' Vauxhall Vectra shell too. The cars are actually driven to 888 in Banbury, where they are stripped down.

It's amazing what goes into them cars.

A bare Astra shell at 888.

Both have got a decent deal, I'm sure the car will be wearing the company logo somewhere on the car next season as part of the price

They used Vectras this year Kurt!

i'm guessing the hole in the bumper has a ''tunnel'' which leads directly to the air intake.

Ben G guesses correctly. Having the grill blocked is clearly for aerodynamics. Same principle as on the Polo Bluemotions.

These are great cars. Very quick and sound great too.

Be interesting next season to see how they stack up against the new focus ST's run by arena motorsport.
