Listerning to the local Radio, and its just read out a list of Schools that are going to be closed tomorrow "Due to the risk of snow"
WTF, they are now shutting schools before a single flake has fallen
We must be the biggest set of un-copable cunts on the planet. We cant cope with fuck all in the country. Other places have snow all winter long and things carry on as normal, over here things are being shut down before it even starts.
Not just Snow either, it rains for a few days and were all flooded, then its sunny for a week & its a drought.
Makes me wonder what would happen if there really was some severe weather in this country

Made me laugh earlier driving to work with all the people totally wrapped up in their cars with coat, scarf, gloves and hat
Heaven forbid they ever had to walk anywhere, they'd probably die in this chilly weather.

i hate wankers that drive up your arse on icy roads.
some prat i n a 1.25 white mk6 fiesta with viper stripes with his fog lights on thought he was a right gangster this morning....
needless to say when the ice-free roads came he was just a small fog light wearing spec in my mirror
just annoys me how people think they can still drive the same as a dry sunny day.

Tell me about it. Finished work at 5.25 and just got home. Very annoyed that most of our staff yesterday took the day of because of a bit of snow when i can do 45 miles and get in a little later. Three of them could have walked in within 15 minutes.
Someone just died on the motorway and i'm now considering whether to even bother tomorrow for the amount i'm paid.

You're mad because people took the day off and yet you're considering the same?! Aye, that makes sense.

What motorway was that? i drive from liverpool to near blackpool every day, and seen a properly smashed up car getting recovered about 7am this morning on the m6 about j26 south. couldn't tell you what it was other than it was silver. it was wrecked. amazing how many flids continue to do 80 and really close to people when the outside lane is white and uber slippy. m55 wasn't even gritted this morning, ffs it's a motorway! 3 crashes.
I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

I was furious; I drove to, through and out the other side of Buxton over the "closed" roads, passed the closed schools at 0700 this morning, before the snow turned to rain. Just as I was in Buxton some young lad text the Chris Moyles show to say his school was shut (in Buxton) and he was missing his Histroy mock exam!

They have shut the school where I work.
If you don't have enough staff in they also have to close, it's not just due to the weather.

All the schools in town are closed. Not sure why as the kids all walk to school anyway and I managed to drive into work this morning fine.
Bet they can manage to go out playing in the snow even though they cant go to school... I'm only jealous
