do i just fill in log book as normal? by the way there is no tax on the car or insurance, also can he take the private plate off and sell it even though in s. ireland? cheers

If he's buying it for himself then im pretty sure you fill out the export bit. He may well be buying it to sell on over there as cars are very expensive in the republic in which case he might not want you to fill out his details on the log book as he will have to pay VRT (vehicle registration tax) which is quite high for instance my dads bmw comes in at 32% of the Irish value although this is free if you own the vehicle in the uk for a year or more.
But yes he can still sell it.

I sold my 306 to a guy from Ireland and i filled out the export
