Been a few times (when I lived in Italy)
It's nice, but I've only ever been for the day and that was plenty....
If you do go...I would recommend going to Pisa for the day if you can...it is my favourite place in Italy...its beautiful

I was going to go when i was in Turin this summer but was put off by the distance by train. I've read reports of its smells due to lack of a proper sewer system but if you can suffer that then it looks an ace place to visit.
