my first car (1.2 Nova Salooooooon) had one.. so when i upgrade to a Corsa it was the most amazing thing to have an auto choke.

just wondering if any of the "youngsters" on here even know what one is or have ever driven a car with manual choke ??

They were great

if you put choke in too far while the engine is still cold it starts to splutter.. then once its warmed up.. slam the choke in and away you go.. WARP SPEED !!

i loved my old nova.. was fantastic

1st job I had we had a pool car. This used to be some total shit box as the boss was too tight to splash out.

The 1st one was a MK2 Astra. It had an auto choke but for some reason it had been taken out. So you had to constantly rev it when it was cold to keep it going.

After that died he upgraded () to an F reg Escort 1.3 Popular with manual choke. 4 speed on the floor aswell Did make every journey a challenge
