my mates got one of these astra's. its a 1.4 16v and the engines gone,

now will he be able to just chuck a 1.6 in the same way as you do a corsa??

are the engines in the 1.4 16v astra and the 1.6 16v astra the same??

no it can be out of any vaux 1.6 fwd but you will need the other bits like ecu loom gearbox etc mounts if different
