[quote=Ment-Al]I tried to search but turns out that it wont let me...

I dont know if this has been mentioned here, would assume that it had?

The Renault in Top Gear that they tried to get round the track quicker than an Evo X was tuned by Torque of the Devil, not James May himself and they were actually quite naughty as they changed the engine for the V6 from the Clio V6.

They wanted to put Nos on it but were scared that the Stig would kill himself.

It would appear that TOTD just mapped it for them.

Goes to show that TG is just an entertainment programme and actually not very factual considering they neglected to mention an engine transplant.

Apologies if this is a repost, wouldnt happen if the search worked!

I'd heard that TOTD had worked on it, but not about the Clio V6 lump being put in it! Without searching for specs, whats the difference between the 2 different V6 engines?

Bit more than a "service" then!!

Are there still people that seriously think it's a factual programme?

Did anyone ACTUALLY believe that a television presenter was capable of anything more than talking a bit of shit?

Are there people that genuinely believe Mr May was responsible in any way for any work carried out on anything ever, never mind a car, never mind a French one?

At least it would have had a Corsa Depo front headlight conversion with all the sets Dave had.

I thought the original engine had way less than 200bhp whereas doesn't the Clio V6 have 250 - 300bhp depending whether it was the 2.5 or 3.0.

That's shite.

Entertainment or not, they still did something where they had a budget and said they'd stick to it.

OK if Top Gear was a drama, but it's supposed to be non-fiction. How do we know that the Pagani they had there last week wasn't just a shelled up LET Nova?

Have just noticed they've started doing things like this in recent series. I'm not getting too bothered, but it's the same kind of feeling to if you found out Santa wasn't real.

All clio V6s have a 230/255bhp 3.0 engine.
