Its gone downhill so much since I was a kid. They used to sell everything but my local one which is a massive, fancy purpose build shop is more like a pound shop now selling cheap shite.

My mate is a manager at one of the stores.

He worked for MVC before that and they went bust too not having much luck

Yeah I heard aboout this.

They've been outdone by Asda selling whole weeks school uniforms for £4 and tesco selling more stationary then Wollies

but it was expected... as pow said, the large superstores can now cater for what people used to get from wollies so why shop their when you can buy it along with your food shopping.

Used to love woolworths as a kid

Toy bit always used to have a aeroplane that went around the ceiling on rails pulling adverts along

supermarkets are taking over the world. Its a fact....well not a fact but you can buy just about everything at them. I try and buy elsewhere even if paying slightly more i.e meat and eggs from local farmer
