My dad got a fax from Arnold Clark the other day with some spec on it, and a list of the extras available.
So he went to the dealer today, ordered his and left a £500 refundable deposit.
The price is still to be decided, but the guy my dad spoke to at the dealer said it should be between £25k and £27k.
They're going to start production around the new year and aim to have the first ones delivered for around March.
The spec sheet he got faxed said it will have a 0-60 time of under 6 seconds and a target top speed of over 160mph
Roll on march!

Think I might wait untlil they drop in price. Don't think they'll hold their value like the old RS. I reckon 20k tops after a year but time will tell

May happen, who knows. Theres apparently going to be twice the number of mk1 RS built so wont exactly be rare.

Thats the only bugger. There were 2147 Mk1 RSs sold in the UK, and around 4000 Mk2 RSs expected to be sold here.

White is the best colour ever, and looks hard on the RS
I can't believe they don't have a price despite people taking orders

Thats whats holding me off, as £25k is a stretched arsehole for me as it is, if I ordered one & they came back & said 29k or something I wouldnt want it!!
I want to order one but not without a final otr price, or even without an insurance quote or nothing!! Im gonna wait, hopefully get an order in after the new year & get a car built for May/June!?

Because the price is still to be confirmed, the deposit is fully refundable.
However, theres a good chance you'll be able to buy a 2nd hand one for a decent price around the may/june time.

I'm assuming the leather trimmed seats will have leather where the grey alcantara is, or maybe where the coloured cloth is.

Black bonnet vents and wheels (easily painted) would look on the white one

My dad wants to change the original wheels, and get some white ones.
Something with fewer spokes so they're easier to keep clean.
I'm sure it won't be long till there are plenty of carbon goodies available for it too.
White & carbon looks uber
