Tell him he's a shit mate.

I've helped people move house, fix cars, do all kinds of stuff. All I ask in return is for them to help me out if I ask for it.

I charge in the sense that if I help them out I expect them to take the time to help me out if I need it, charging money is wrong.

if you've helped him out in past tel him to jog on.

im starting to charge 'mates' for the simply fact, they all fuck about with cars(most dont have a clue how to tune etc) but ill get fone calls at silly times asking to help fix there cars(most of the time after already fixing a problem and telling them to get whatever part or something), ended up going miles away to help out and not even a thanks or just pay for petty money, or fix there cars because they have been stupid, and i NEVER get a hand with my cars. even though id bend over backwards to help them, i rarely get a thanks. and if there doing a job for me(id ask if wanted anything for it, and usually say something) or do favour for favour, but some things are a pisstake.

best example i can think of at moment is: mate getting punto head on tues, by wed fully ported/polished, skimmed, built/shimmed etc, engine built back up, got sorted for him as needed a car(finished on the thurs) asked him and others for help to lift my corsa shell onto a trailer.....either no reply or 'o cant im busy' thats when i get mega fucked off with people!

fit the interior yourself couple of hours in reality, and save yourself £30

cheeky twats

i fitted a headunit, sub, amp, 6x9's, headlight bulbs and side light bulbs (which were mine) exhaust rubber mounts and check it over before its mot for a mate, took me the whole day cause his wiring was shit and really random, he offered me money as it was my only day off in three weeks, said no, instead he brought a huge McDonalds, and in the evening when i finished cooked me a bbq and offered me a few drinks.

at the end of the day if you asked for the help then fair enough, something to say cheers by like a few drinks is nice, but asking for money, thats just rude

btw by me asking for money - would be if doing a full engine rebuild sort of thing. i tend to do favour for favour. but its like now im looking at a new bathroom...obv id pay for bathroom and mates time, but i promise you if he blew his zvh mk2 fieta turbo up, and i said it would be £600 with all parts bebuilt fresh he'd have a moan.

im more than happy to help anyone out, in return for mainly a thank you and a drink or something, nothing major!

Never charge mates.

If they are thankful for your help then you'll get a drink off of them. Well thats what usually happens with my mates.

I had to drive a great big van to help my mates move house. Spent all day in the bastard, having never driven one before All I got in return was a "Cheers" and laughed out of the room when their dad suggested they buy me a drink or something But I couldn't really give a toss. Mates are meant to be there and give each other a hand. Even if it WASN'T a mate, £30 is still criminal

£30 to fit an interior.

It's 2 bolts for the front seats and a few screws for the rear.

But £100 for an interior is a con.
£30 to fit it and a full day.

I fitted front and back seats carpet, door cards and plastics in a full day but I spent ages cleaning it all and was taking my time.
