mainly about the start up and shutdown sequence.

i saw on a youtube the start up sequence to the ones im thinking of getting where they turn the key for power on while the gauge sets up then they turn the engine on.

Does that need to be done all the time? or can you just turn the engine on straight away and not bugger them up.

The gauges will be at zero for everything until you start the engine. You just need to wire them into a live that comes on with the ignition.

i wont be wiring them in but if you see the vid the gauges start at zero then piss about for a bit then he turns the engine on, was just wanderng if you can just turn the engine straight on without waiting for them to be set.

Just start up as normal. Just a little cheap ass motor in them to make them look fancy. Pointless really. They're not like Defi's where they have a central controller unit that can store peaks etc.

Can't see the vid at work, is it the needles flicking round like in Aston Martin's and the like?
