wouldnt get a 4 as they get crank walk and have chocolate pistons.

Equally i wouldnt get a scooby...just because its a scooby

Get a decent example of either and look after it. End of. Try only to listen to people who have owned either....would make more sense.

EDIT: I'd get the scooby BTW. Evo4's look utter shit. At least with Imprezas, the classic shape was made up to 2001.

evo, and i may just add my pal has a evo 4 + 6, the 4 is fantastic, she says she even prefers the drive to the 6 etc, but thats her!

but yes evo by leaps and bounds

We have had both, Evo was far better

People rant and rave about crankwalk but we never had any problems or any other problems with the car.

was one of the best cars we have had probley, would have another over the scoob anyday

Yeah they do look girly. TBH the older Evo's aren't priced THAT differently now so it would be worth saving a little more for a V or even a very well priced VI.

Mat has just got an Evo 4, picked it up for 2K blown, in mint condition, has now had a new engine fitted with lots of 6 parts so all in all for another 2K he has a quality car!

both are good, both have problems.... both have reported problems that are blown out of proportion by internet numpties.

I wouldnt buy either.... but I would have an STi (or WRX RA) or EVO V onwards.

Why's it the only Evo you would have? I've had an 8 MR, and a TME and funnily enough, being an Evolution in all, the MR was leagues ahead.
