my car M.O.T runs out tommorrow, but i am picking up a new car on saturday, the garage do know i am coming will my car be alright to drive on saturday morning?

technically if the car is going for repairs at a garage or getting an mot tomorrow it is ok, other wise no

If they're an MOT station, you should be able to get away with it aslong as they're willing to say it's booked in for an mot, if they aren't then no.

oh great i thought it ran out a few days later

i best ring them up tommorrow and find out spoke to my sister (police officer) she thinks its alright because they know im coming

we dont do mot's and i have not cat


My grande is in the workshop though being pdi'd

I was suposed to be on a course tomorrow aswell.. guess ill ring my boss in the morning and tell him i need my car asap!

mine ran out today too and my rear springs have snapped

You can drive to a pre-booked MOT appointment but nothing else.

It's not OK to go there just for repairs, it must be an MOT.

Yes, it expires midnight on the date on the form.

It is generally an offence to use on a public road, a vehicle of testable age that doesn’t have a current test certificate, except when:
"taking it to or bringing it away from a place where, by previous arrangement, repairs are to be made or have been made to fix the problems that caused the vehicle to fail its test"

Yeah, if fails you can fix it, but if it just expired you can't claim to be rectifying anything.

Yes if they book you in and you then have an appointment
