they are there, can see them

for the £££, i think the gti feels more chuckable, doesn't seem slower (remember 32 has 60bhp more, but has the weight of the v6 and the haldex system)

and i think the mk5 r32 tries to hard, espically the sound which is cheap compared to the mk4

I've driven a Mk4 with Miltek exhaust and it was fucking fantastic.

I'd consider Mk4 tbh until the credit crunch etc blows over

I wouldnt consider a mk4, 10-12k for a 2003 car........sack that. Remember thats a car that will be 2 models out of date in a few months!!

Had the same thing with a Clio cup in my local dealer, sales guy kept telling me I couldnt afford the insurance inspite of arriving there in my GSi

So three weeks later got my 182 pulled up and mugged him off infront of a potential customer

Went to test drive hat SMG on Monday bloody technician binned it in the wet before I got there

i'd prefer to have a gti over the r32 but an m3 over both.

When i was just turned 19 i was either going to buy a 206 gti 180 or a astra GSi when they were brand spankers and the dealer wouldnt let me test drive it, needless to say i walked away and bought a GSi.

What!! Doughnut!!! What a shame.

It's happend to me loads of times..'You couldn't afford to insure it mate' then i get back in the scooby and there like Don't get me wrong i don't like them kissing my arse but for all they know i could have just won the lottery Like that black guy who went to Mercedes in his scruffs and they turned there noses up at him so he went over the road and bought 6 BMW's for his family..love it.
