Is that livery/wheels quite a common combo? My boss has a bike that looks pretty much identical to that!

Actually you could buy an MV AND a Benelli, but thats not the point. This will oblitorate an MV round a bend. MV is a VERY top heavy bike, cannot be thrown about really at all. Blisteringly fast in a straight line though.
RC30 was THE bike to have if you could afford it. Very advanced engine (V4!!) in its day, single swinging arm, this bike was the total titties!!! Handled like a dream.
Warren, no nothing like 20k. Only bikes that rev that high are MotoGP, but even they only go to about 18,000rpm.

NR was up for sale recently for £100,000.
Although I think the seller was dreaming a little bit.
But a collector will happily still pay well over £50k for one (£39k new in late 80's).
Its respective though isn't it. A good Ferrari F40 will cost £200k these days, a McLaren F1 will cost over £1 million. Rarer the car/bike, better teh condition, the huge increase in value.
My dad has 2 bikes now that he'll never sell, and give it 10-20 years and they will both be worth stupid money!!!!!

My NC30 went to about 16k RPM, so it's probably around that.
I remember when someone obviously not clued up on bikes posted an RC30 up for 2k, it was sold within 30 minutes
