Agreed, the shares are $3 at the moment though they expect them to go to $1 by the end of the week.
Problem is they employ a massive amount of people in america, same with ford who will be following shortly.

They'll get bailed out due to the implications of letting a national institution go to the wall and the confidence bash it would send through the whole economy.
That being said though where does the bailing out stop?

Don't even need to make them, just do a group buy and take the cash first.

because the risk is alot bigger then a trader doing his arse and being bankrupt, we are talking about losses big enough to bring banks down.

I'm more worried about Vodafone and if Robbo and bubblevaux are alright, or if the blackberry storm will dig them out the hole

I think both GM and Ford, with primary markets in US, are on borrowed time. I think GM has been bankrupt for decades, but creative accounting has kept it afloat. I think Ford are worse off currently.
GM Europe is one of the most profitable arms of the firm though. If anything I think this could be interesting, maybe not good, but interesting. They are probably what's been keeping the company alive for so long.

Hence why I said about the Europe arm of the company keeping GM afloat, I meant it in relation to both GM and Ford.
