So, I was driving home form work tonight along a dual carriage way (40mph limit). I was driving along side a brand new Honda S2000 (I’m in a 2001 model Civic BTW). S2000 driver has a van in front of him which then indicated and pull in front of me, no biggie.
Mr S2000 then decides to gun it to show off his engine etc to the lowly Civic driver next to him which is me. There's a round about 100m away and I guess he wanted to "get there first"…which he did. As I got to the round about (it’s quite a big one), he's still gunning it around it.
I see him start to loose the back end, due to his in experience of this situation, I guess he tries to correct it (not at one point did I see brake lights by the way), but over corrects it, he spins it and mounts the kerb coning to a stop literally 1ft away from a lamp post.
TBH, if he'd have hit it, I don’t think it would have killed him...but he'd have been hurt and the car would have been a write off.
Because I knew he was ok, I gave him a few flashes of my lights and a thumbs up and kept on driving I was looking for him in my mirrors for him coming after me
Summary: Prick in an S2000 was showing off and lost it on a round about, narrowly missing a lamp post when he came to a stop.
GTF the people who say "how is that funny" etc etc etc

I think his pride will have been damaged enough TBH. Other people made their thoughts clear to him too

I'd have taken more pleasure in stopping and seeing if he was alright. That way i'd at least get to see the sheepish expression on his face

I did similar in the snow the other day, facing traffic on a busy roundabout, with the traction control ON, is not a good look.
