If i was you.....
1) Either make a bracket for a normal sized number plate on the lower part of the bumper grill. so it can be easily removed for shows etc.
2) Or stick it in the window (top) or attach it to your sunvisor but you run the risk of being caught and fined.
Not to keen on the square number plates personality.

They're legal if they're regulation size and spacing.
Windscreen mounted isn't legal - the angle and distance from the front of car is wrong.
