As above.

Don't spam, just answer.

Need something that averages at least 40mpg really, 45+ is a bonus (suppose I'm looking at diesel), cheap to run, tax, insure etc yet is still a bit of fun.

Loosing heart with the Ibiza at the moment, just weighing up my options.

Keep thinking Corsa C...

3.5k for mine Colin.

I'd love a petrol motor, but I'd need to cut my miles down

Plus, the 1.6 sports average like 30MPG don't they...

They are genuinely ace little cars And as Matt said, ridiculously good on petrol. I couldn't believe that I'd get 95 to a £10 if I drove like a granny.

320i won't be good on fuel especially if its an early E36 cab your talking about

E36 318is - 35/40mpg
E46 318ci - 35/40mpg

But your tax will be £180 - £200

Get yourself a 1.8t VAG engine they are awesome on petrol if you try hard enough can just get 25mpg
