How much would i be looking at if i was to fit throttle bodies to my corsa.
Its a 1.6 16v sport (x16xe) if that helps any. And does anyone know anywhere to get them fitted? And what added bhp would i be looking at on a full set?

140 + bhp or so, but you really need cams and decent mapping to make the most of it.
No idea on kit prices now - check SBD for ideas (you can get cheaper)
under 2k for a off the shelf kit i think.
Fitting - how long is a piece of string...
Mapping 500 or so...

If money isnt a problem.... change the question...
How much power do you want?
THEN...... ask yourself....
Is it worth doing it to a 1.6 vauxhall?

What Adam said... 200+ can be found from these engines. But really, you can be spending those many, maaaany thousands on buying a much better car.

Yeah, im only 17. thats why i dont really want to change the engine just yet as i probably wouldnt get insurance. I wasnt gonna do aything to it just yet, just looking for rough prices so i know how much id need to save LOL! but maybe its not worth doing to a 1.6... hmmm....

You don't need massive BHP to have a good laugh. 140bhp in a Corsa from the 16XE is plenty enough to have fun with and you needn't go down the TB route to achieve 140bhp.

At 17, the standard Sport is more than enough power. But if you insist on adding more, the TB route is not the best starting point
Go for the usual:
Inlet Manifold - Usually around £300 for a Mantzel etc
4-2-1 Manifold - Ranges really, can get one for around £150 though.
Enclosed induction kit - Good one will set you back between £100-£200 iirc
Decat/Cat Back system - Again varies, I'd pay around £350 tops though for that!
That'll see about 125-130bhp

Yeah, 140bhp sounds pretty sensible lol.. Maybe im better off not going down the TB route then, as it probably wouldnt be worth spending all that money on a 1.6 LOL!

Got the inlet manifold and 4-2-1 manifold already Should maybe just focus on getting a decent de-cat system and an enclosed induction kit as its not as expensive

You should first focus on stopping the car and getting around corners. Someone would eventually come and say that anyway as that's pretty fundemental

Indeed I see where you're coming from. And you're spot on. The car is only as fast as the driver, and a 17 year old with 140bhp will be the fastest man through a hedge in Southern Britain.

my 1.6 has just over 125bhp and is pretty nippy, a car will always be fast for a month or two then you get used to it and you want more power.

Same, absolutely 100% true. So many situations where if I had more power back then I could have been in shit street.
