Hi,

I'm in a bit of a situation with my missus...here's the story, would appreciate some advice if possible...

my girlfriend of a year and a bit left herself logged into her email account on my computer. Yes I know, I should'nt have read the emails but I did - it's human nature afterall! I found out that when we got together (over a year ago) she was still seeing her ex-boyfriend. We were'nt going out right at the start, but I think it was in August 07 and I met her in July 07. I found emails between them about meeting up etc. I was really really pissed off.

Then, I found emails from a guy she told me she was'nt seeing when she went off travelling for a year. (baring in mind I did'nt even know her back then!) but still to this day she tells me her best friend was seeing this particular guy they were travelling with - emails say otherwise. I was really really pissed off.

Should I confront her about either???

She swears to me that she has'nt seen/spoke to her ex for the whole time we were going out and I believe her (and know the fella now has a new girlfriend) but does it matter about all that time she was still seeing him???

and what about this fella she says was seeing her best mate when they were travelling and actually turn s out it was her?? I know that was only a fling and it was even before she met me, but it's the principle right?!

Or do neither matter???????

very confused. should I be annoyed??

My friends having differing opinions so looking for a wider opinion on this hence the post!

Cheers,
Aaron

i'd say forget about it as it was in the past when u weren't together. Confronting her is gonna open a can of worms, so unless you reckon you can get through it i'd forget about it.

Depends if you can let it go, if it's gonna keep coming and winding you up you are bound to say something about it one time when you are pissed off about something else (personal experience) which will end in tears.

You've got the easy version of both of those stories.

ie. she's edited the truth so it sounds better.

Depends if you really care about when you weren't with her or what was happening years ago. There's a principle issue in there but you're hardly on the moral highground yourself.

Very true Ian. How can I dictate to her what she could do when I did'nt even know her?!

and, you're right- she obviously just made the bit up about her best friend seeing the guy when they were travelling as it sounded better and easier to handle....

She sounds like a compulsive liar. Could be a nut job.

Best get rid to be on the safe side. Make sure you vengeance f*ck her filthiest mate and just BEFORE you get rid though, so it really counts.
