is it worth buying a 07/08 corsa d second hand for say like 7-8k or do they lose money too quick?

been looking into getting a 1.3 cdti corsa D or the 1.4 sxi sometime next year but frightened case i lose too much money if i wanted to sell it in like 3 years time.Im just curious at the moment because of the way the car market is at the moment?

or is old cars the way forward at the moment?

Old cars may be cheap but could cost you as much in repairs.

Theres no win/lose you just pay your money & make your choice safe in the knowlege your going to lose a stack of money no matter what!! Beats taking the bus though!!

New cars depreciate, old cars need fixing. You lose money either way.

if you're worried about losing money on cars through depreciation, don't buy one that's 3 years old or newer.

I wouldn't worry about it till next year and see what you can afford when you have the cash in your hands.

Although the 1.3CDTi Corsa D's are 90ps (so more power than Corsa C), they don't benefit from low tax bands etc so I'd personally go for the 1.7CDTi. However the 1.3 can be remapped to 125ps.

i think you will struggle to get a proper answer as you are talking about getting a car next year, anything could happen in that time, i guarantee you will change your mind so many times before you actually get a different car.

but i think if you really thought about your question, then you already know the answer. if you dont know then look at 55 reg corsa c's and see how much they go for now compared to how much they were new 3 years ago to get a rough idea.
