Apparently the chassis or suspension was developed with Lotus.
When I went to the preview evening of the Corsa VXR they said it had been developed with Lotus and I was amazed, till someone said the B had as well.

Quite possible the chassis was developed by Lotus, the GSi and Sport engines were a development of Lotus IIRC

IIRC the 1.4 16v engine was designed by lotus and the 1.6 16v by cosworth

X14XE C16XE X16XE engines were all designed by lotus then restricted by vauxhall, becuase it put out more power than the vauxhall 1.8 engine X18XEV etc, also the corsa B's believe it or not were actually designed along side with lotus!
the proton has lotus suspension, but imo arent bery good cars! but each to thier own!

When rolling down an overly large hill
I must agree with Eck, you must be driving like a fanny at 20mph in 5th every where to get that.

why would you be in 5th doing 20mph? you would use more fuel =/

Obviously the inlet would be changed for a start, and I'm guessing lotus would have used more aggressive cams etc.

inlet
cams
management system
exhaust system
this would be a start to getting the BHP but they also claim it would have no reliability problems
