at a rough guess what do you think this would be worth in around 5 years? if all goes well i will be joining the navy in the next year, join as an officer and will be on roughly 30k a year. so if all goes well i was thinking of saving up around 1k a month or 10k a year. then when im around 23-25 buying one. i know its a bit random but i love to save money when theres something i want. wat you think

edit: link would help
something similar to this?

I earn more than that and I can't save 1k a month at all.

Also would you really want to save your tits off for 5 years and save roughly £50k and then spend it on a car?

If you were in the Navy you would. Dont have nothing to spend money on. My mate was in the army getting about £1500 a month, and home once a month, blew the lot on a weekend all the time

Just basing things on you haveing to live, a house etc.

I looked at getting a 360 Modena when I was buying the RS6, trust me, purchase price isnt even half of it!!!!

I went to look at a silver one not far from me (23k miles, 2 owners, FSH, MY00) priced at £43k. When I was looking through the documentation the bill from the last service was there, fair enough it was a major service and it did need a few bits doing to it but the bill was £8,000 + VAT!!!!! The TVR was expensive to service/maintain and RS6 is worse, but Lambo and Ferrari are just on a different planet!!! I personally dont know where they get their prices from!!!!

I think every time i have been to pod there has been a lambo with some sort of problem

Look into maintenance etc aswell as purchase price and especially tax as you'll be paying shite loads and barely driving it if you're going to be on base etc. And im sure there are new rules coming in where soon you will have to have a car MOT'd taxed and insured even if its just sitting in a garage or something like that.

Mainly because they can't drive them and decided to dump half the gearbox housing on the track

Fair enough, you won't have any commitments, but running costs will just be stupid. Granted, it's more of a VAG so that as an 'old' Lambo won't be as bad as current 'old' Lambo's.

Saving the same amount, you could easily buy an RS4 or E92 M3 - that would be the more sensible choice.

mate, seriously, don't...

i'm on 32k a year and my focus costs about 800 a month all in including petrol and that.

it's just not worth it in this day and age, better to put your money in isa's or a buy to let house a cars like that will depreciate for a long time to come.

Plus you're 19/20 Ben, so should have got a Fiesta ST at most.

But like you say, if you can afford it, I'm sure it's worth it.
