I applied for a job about a month ago after seeing the ad in our local paper.
Anyway, I get a letter today saying I have an interview.
Problem is I forgot what the job was for And I didn't keep a copy of the job description.
How do I get the info without calling them and seeming like a forgetful spaz? I was thinking of a polite email to their HR department and saying as it was a while ago I misplaced the advert. I don't want to come across as being forgetful and complacent before I even get to the interview (I'll let them find that out if they give me the job )

Ideally I don't want to get in contact. It really wouldn't look good. The only reason I didn't keep the advert was because the job seemed so out of reach for me. But there you go, they must have seen something they liked on my CV.
Time to research I reckon, like you say.

Contact the company and ask for the person spec and or job description for the job you recently applied for. (depends how big the company is, they could ask you what job if it is a massive place!)

Phone the number and wait for the company name "hello blah blah ltd" giggle like a wee girl and hang up. The google them, get in about their website and hope they have a vacancies bit!
p.s you might wanna do 141 before trying this!

It's funny. I applied for 2 jobs on the same day. One was for what I've been doing for the last 7 years, the other has nothing to do with what I've done in my life thus far. I got the interview for the latter
