...Not another 'whats this song', but i want to take up a new instrument, i've been thinking of a few:
Drums: Not my type.
Guitar: Too many people learn them.
the spoons: Out of Fashion?
Anyway so i cam up with a Saxo'maphone, i like the sound to them and think its something different, whats your views?

Piano, Sitar (room mate is taking it up now, says it's a little tricky), Bass Guitar (perhaps reggae stuff using nylon strings), Double Bass, Cello, Violin, Steel pans, tablas, Harp, become a percussionist?
Saxophones are good instruments, but you'll have to learn theory if you want to become any good at it. Plus i've heard circular breathing helps when playing wind/brass instruements.

I used to play the Euphonium.
Don't ask. I wish I did the Saxophone though. One word of warning, instruments are not cheap - so it has got to be something you're serious about doing etc.
Contact your local Secondary school to get in contact with Peripatetic teachers (ones that visit and teach instruments) as they often do private lessons etc

Euphonium
If you play string or brass, work you're bollocks off then there can be a fair amount of cash in it as a player for orchestras or sessions players

Saxophone is just a call instrument though. Can busk everything with it and not get picked on at Middle school for having to put your instrument on a luggage trolley and pull it to school
