does anyone have any experience with these? thinking of getting one as a cheap car instead of my mini.

Any ideas on what to look for when buying? any common faults? any reason why or why not to go for one?

Can't see it being a cheap car if something goes wrong etc.

And 1994 is either going to be quite an early E36 or the older shape.

by '94 we were on the e36 for the saloon and coupe, but i think the e30 production run continued for the estate and convertible. Don't know how long for, but i should imagine still into 94. sure i've seen L plate e30 tourings.

either way a 316 estate is going to be depressingly slow i'd imagine.
