twats

for about 5 weeks now my wages have been wank
as the tradesmen on here know we get paid an hour rate that is crap and you do your jobs on time to make bonus

for the past 5 weeks I have not recieved any bonus what so ever, my wage slip states Amount: Basic 39 hours @ *hourly rate here* I have been doing no less work in these last 5 weeks than I have been doing for the last 6 - 8 months yet when I today questioned work about my shit money he replied with " the company isnt making enough money to pay all our employees so we have to make cuts elswhere IE my fucking pay that I have to live on

its a relitavly small company around 50 employees all in all

BUT they are a member of the JIB Union, is there anybody I could contact ( or more realistically threaten to contact ) about this, im not well up on this stuff, Im used to turning up doing my job going home and ultimalty getting paid for it

if it wasnt for this pissing "credit crunch" shite Id have told him to shove it there and then, not a wise move in these times though I suppose

My dad has had to 'request' that the guys that work for him (as they are theoretically self employed) reduce their rates by half, otherwise the business would fold.

They're sticking by my dad who they've worked for for years.

Granted, their pay is worse, but they're in work.

Having NO money what so ever would be worse i.e. not being in work - I'd just put up with it.

Are you PAYE or self-employed?

Saw the same thing happening to JCB on the news to day - all employees at one of their plants are having to have their wages dropped by £50 a week, or something along those lines.
