do people not realise you can just ring BT(or whatever phone provider) and get cold calls blocked out ?

We are on the TPS and we keep getting calls from witheld numbers that are just a recording talking about debt management or some crap like that.

Also, British Gas keep calling asking for someone that used to live at our address years ago I think but had the same number?

I am in the process of drawing up a letter to them which states I will sue their sorry asses if they keep calling - even though on several occasions I have told them a) the person doesn't exist here and b) our number is on the TPS and their call is illegal. Dumb fucks, they really make me
