For those of you that know me - bit of a career change!

Well i have kept this under wraps, but thought i would post up the details now for those of you that know me.
Since March this year i have been going though my Police Force application.

Its has been long hard road, but I'm there. Appointment was confirmed by post yesterday. My start date is 12th Jan 2009.

To say I'm chuffed is an understatement

I feel I'm doing this for all the right reasons, and even though i will be "wet behind the ears" I'm sure its right for me. Time will tell.

I have been trying for ages to get into the police force and no luck what-so-ever , what will you be doing? PCSO, PO, Dog Handler,. Response Unit?

Im entering the force as a regular officer, so i will be under probation for two years.

First 23 weeks are in the classroom, followed by, traffic, beat duties etc.

After two years, if im successful then i will get the option to specalise if the positions to do what i want to do are available to me.

I was considering doing this, but looking to go down the IT route at present as was put off by Panaroma the other day about the police force
