They can charge you it for each item. Give them a ring if its not a normal thing for you and they will sometimes refund it in good faith. Failing that, wait a few months until the appeal has gone through court and you should be able to reclaim it all from them.

Yep, if you havent got the money in there the next time too. You could ring the company trying to take the DD and have a word with them.
I once fucked up when moving bank accounts and didnt change an old credit card that I had next to nothing on. They tried taking the (about £7) DD from that account about 6 or 7 times before I even noticed

Get the DD cancelled then or they will just keep trying. If its your car insurance though then not paying it could mean it'll get cancelled!

So what happens if you wanted to make a claim?

If its premium credit they will have to legally notify you before representing a dd, normally they will give you 7 days notice.
If this actual insurance company has applied for the dd they would send a arrears notice giving 10 days and after that a cancellation will be processed

you'll get 10 days from the date of default and the letter will state the date of cancellation on there.
Would be better for you to call them and say you thin you've defaulted but there may have been an auddis problem with the bank as a few ddms defaulted the same day.
