With it being so big, Is it "ok" to carry a 2 seater couch on a roof rack (on a mondeo)? Dont want to get hassle off the police for it, Its only about 3 miles away.

Would it not be easier to fold the rear seat down and put it that way?
ive seen a 3 seater sofa in the back of a modeo and it looks less stupid, just tie the boot down.

It wouldn't fit in nova, its quite a deep couch 40" wide and and the mondeo boot was 36" We ended up putting it on the roof of my brothers Vectra SRi, as deano said, it looked very pikey especially as its got 2 steelies on it

nice effort there.
I somehow managed to get 2 sofas back in my old caddy. slightly smaller one inside the other, and all 12 cushions inside the top one. was quite impressed at the time.
