Every diesel i've driven (bar the N/A Diesels) seems to ''pick up'' better when 50% - 70% of the throttle is used insted of 100%.

Thing is, I asked my brother this, and he agrees.

Is it just me & my brother that think this or are we going mad?

I have to agree to an extent when i first passed i had a focus 1.8tdi to drive if you put 70% thorttle used to pick up pretty quick then once on turbo put your foot down and away you go but if you stuck your foot all the way down from very low revs seemed to bog out but did get going a secound later so only a slight diffrence but i no what you mean this was a new car tough so might be diffrent compared to a old engine as electric throttle or what ever you call them
