im looking at getting my shell painted in next 2 weeks.

the bodyshop i want to use (for price and good work) wants to use 2k paint instead of the newer waterbased stuff.

is there any advantages or disadvantages of using this??
other than the guys health

if its a 2k colour then its obviously a straight colour.

The up keep of a COB (clear over base) colour is alot easier.

It may be cheaper to have 2k aplied as the cost of the basecoat with COB is about the same to a litre of 2K.

Also with a full respray you wont get alot of people that use waterbased paints, stull can get hold of solvent and its a hell of alot easier for that as it dries much quicker.
