Right then, 99% sure i'm getting a VXR, just not sure which one. Can afford Astra or Corsa (both used). I'm swaying towards corsa because of it being cheaper to run, insure, look after. Having looked at figures, an Astra is do-able but it would stretch me, Corsa would be easy for me. What do you reckon?

both really nice cars, but if the astra is going to be a push running then go for a corsa if it meets your needs

If the Astra VXR is out of budget in every sense but you can afford the Corsa VXR no problem, then go for that. You'll have loads of fun in it still.

But look at other cars in the class i.e. Clio equivalent.

I've looked but i work at a Vauxhall dealership so can get a good deal and its cheaper service, parts, etc etc which is why i'm looking at either VXR

Thats the thing with the astra, its more expensive to buy, run, insure. I could afford it but it'd be tight. I'm not fussed on speed as i have anR6 for that kind of thing. It makes sense working at Vauxhall to use my discounts to my advantage.

No l15ter i wont stay out of it! I should know what a fucking Astra VXR is like to live with day in day out my dad owns one and it aint cheap to run at all As for the corsa on the other hand it may be a good little car etc but the amount of chavs that come in to work and wank over it is unbelieveable tbh

but its not you that runs a vxr astra, its your dad, money dnt come out of your pocket...but im sorry you chat shit about cars, what you pretty much said is dnt buy a corsa as chavs love it, thats a good reason not to buy a car
btw think you need to read, the guy works at vauxhall, he must notice all the little chavs wanking over the vxr corsas

corsa vxr is awesome fun, my brother has one and they are nippy wee cars. outrun a cupra/audi 1.8 turbo. the only thing i dotn like about my brothers is in standard form it just sounds like a normal car when you are going fast.

and what corsa_scotty says is wank, both corsa and astra look ''chavvy'' but who cares, if he wanted something sensible he would go german and boring. overall the corsa is a fun little car with bags of power for what it is and you will have a perminent smile on your face, as for the astra im not sure as ive never driven one..
