Had another track day at Snett was really good. With about 10 mates.
Car was superb again.. loved it.

Had a bit of a bet before hand... a mate has a e46 m3, with lots of mods..
He has Re-map, pulleys, 100 cell cats zorst and filter... so quite a modded engine,
his car also has coilovers, anti roll bars, spacers and AP brakes... a superbly modded M3 and well set up.
He thought he would eat the 335d (with just a re-map)
How wrong he could be..
I caught him.....

AND passed him the very next corner...
The game has moved on my friend, i said to him

One week later i went with the same friends (minus a few) to the legendary Nurburgring for the first time....
JUST AWESOME.. unreal...
I just drove so differently to Snetterton... Snetterton im a 110% driving very hard, the ring 85-90%...
Its quite an intimidating place im sure the ones here who have been will agree...
i saw so many accidents, 5 x 911's, 1 x caterham, 2 x bikes, 2 x subaru.
Thats just the ones i saw.
all my laps were wet and very treacherous. Every corner the grip changes.

so much exotica there, 100k cars were commonplace..

GT2 love it.

Was great weekend, even stopped off at zolder in belgium on the way home..
Hit the limiter off the clock 6 times in all on the way there..
Averaged 110-140 all the way with 6 tops of 160 lol..

being a pratt on the way home lol

That derv is seriously quick And i like how you give it some despite being a brandnew car Seen you giving it some round tracks and up the pod!
The m3 is stunning also!

never underestimate the torque of a 335d, what is it something like 450 lb/f?

LOL, Zolder was awesome mate, went and saw the gilles memorial and to the spot where he died. Just paying a little personal tribute in honour of a great racing driver

And racing arounud tracks is a bit different from giving it redline down the high street!

With apex entries as wide as that, im not suprised you could catch him.
Doesn't mean a damn thing if you can't drive for toffee no matter how good they "think" they are

What average mpg are you getting in that as well?
Im trying to get missy to include it in "possibles" for the next motor, but shes hates BMW's.
But for a derv, that engine is superb and gives really really good gains with the right remaps.

I know mate, he is a foot wide. I showed this too him in the pics. You can see my car is aiming straight for the fooker. Just do it instinctively.. Grew up racing karts

Why does she?
Im averaging 24mpg at the moment which is good for me as i drive hard.. Have seen an average over 3k miles of just 18mpg.
Friends 335d's vary 34-40mpg. They dont drive as hard as me though.

Hmm not as good as i thought then, our astras returning 27mpg so its not that much different from your mates.
But it drops to single figures when pushed hard.
BMW image, but then shes looking at Audi's too, which is just as, if not even worse
