I've been thinking it would be a good idea for anyone who has taken their corsa up a 1/4 mile dragstrip to post their best time.

Put down engine size/type, power (if known) and if not, a quick list of mods if possible.

I'll start:

alan-g-w: C20XE - 159bhp/133lbft - 14.9s @ 94mph

C20LET, Large front mount intercooler, Walbro 255 fuel pump, Courtney sport billet flywheel, Vmax evo 5 software, Vernier cam pulleys, XE Inlet cam shaft, Uprated actuator, Ramair air filter, Adjustable fuel pressure regulator, Powerflow 2.25" exhaust turbo back

Only ran twice because it was so busy at 112mph 13.2 but will do a little better with a few more goes

Thats a cracking time for a 1400.

Best i could manage with a 1600 16v converted nova (around 130hp), was 15.7 @ 89mph (my terminal speed should be higher due to more power)
Think maybe im just a crap 1/4 mile driver

AK - cheers mate, I'm looking at taking the rear seats out for going to crail on the 26th.

Been told by a guy that had an XE it makes a fair bit of difference.

1.4 16v corsa sport - Carbon induction and decat scorpian exhaust.

Full interior, half tank fuel, bits and bobs in boot

Dont think the car would do anyquicker as it is!

Do u use your car purely on the 1/4 or is it mainly and everyday road car??

You see thats what gets me.Why on earth do ppl strip out theyr road cars just to get a good 1/4 mile time??
Id rather have a car that i can say does whatever 1/4s with full road trim,as it gets used on the road in full road trim.

Corsa_Sport21 - Why wouldn't I want the best quarter mile time on track? And if you must ask I'm going to be putting in two fixed buckets at some time, just not now so the back seats will be out permanently.

SO, if I don't make it to crail again this year I'll know what it's capable of.

But why strip it for a few runs,then put all the interior back in after your done??I can see the point if u strip it,and keep it on a diet when out on the road.

Id rather have a car that i can take up the 1/4 wether it be with full road trim or only a single seat,then drive it on the road if its a daily driver without having to kid myself thats it a car that 'can' put down the times the way it sits.
