16.4 isnt bad for a standard 1.6.. with your mods I would expect you to be in the 15s.. Maybe your gear changes are naff or the engine isnt setup right?

No worries Ian.

AJSCorsa, clutch is ok, front tyres are quite on the bald side, so was spinning all through 1st and a bit in 2nd, probly didnt help. Got a 17.9 in my old x14xe, so its 1.5 seconds quicker than that

theres a video on youtube of my car standard before i got it and it does 0-60 in 8ish seconds going by the timer on the video. i would be mega dissapointed with that time. The cams alone should make it pull better all te way to the redline...?

Hot weather aint gonna help you kidda...

Slower times are expected!

Run it on a dry morning day about 5-6c outside + watch you possibly crack a 15.9

Aaah, i thought hot weather would be better?

Sometimes i would be crossing the line at 82-84, but sometimes was in end of 3rd gear, sometimes had to go into 4th.

hot weather is crap mate, cool slightly damp air is best for any engine the xe is a completely different kettle of fish when its taken out in the morning! If you take it out on a hot dry day its not as good.
