i got a full tank of petrol today, used my card to pay at the pump.

entered my pin and said thanks for using pay at pump etc as normal. then once i'd finished filling up and entering my pin i noticed a sign saying 'we do not accept solo and maestro cards'.

i used my natwest debit card which s either a maestro or solo...

just check my bank account online and theres no evidence of a transaction on it. it usually tells me my actual balance and my balance after any outstanding transactions have cleared... but there is none

am i going to prison?

It shouldn't of let you fill up if it didn't accept your card? Usually it says you can fill up with £70 for example and then lets you fill up.

you could just get some 'special' cards to gain free fuel.

Payments are always slow on pay@pump. Its what I use if its a couple of days before payday and I'm a little cashless

Phi you'd have to be a tard, you only have to press the pay@pump button then put your card in. FFS the instructions are on the pump/screen.
