havent seen one on the road for years, but when I did it was HUGE! Much much better than that crap H2 Hummers of present.

Guy on my street has a MK1 hummer, ex millitary. Has a hole in the roof where the gun turret used to be

My Understanding, that 'Humvee' was the name used for 'HMMWV' -High Mobility Multipurpose Wheeled Vehicle. The name for the Hummer H1 military equivelant pre commercialisation.
In any event, the H1 for military application and commercial market is/was the same and manufactured by the same peoples.
