sorry guys, but i have just been very impressed with the Vectra's MPG.. i have a 1.8 Ecotec engine and for once i actually bothered to check.. i put in £50 (full tank would be near £70) and for the past 2 weeks i have been driving like a saint. or just an old badger. never taking it above 3k revs

and i managed to get 420miles out of that £50 almost exactly.

am pretty chuffed with that. might have to start driving like a coffin dodger more often

Keep your tyre pressures correct too. Really helps!

I like driving economically too. Saves lots of pennies actually

If petrol is £1.10 a litre, your getting 39 litres for £43.

36 litres is 8.7 gallons, meaning your actually getting 34... for a 1.2 16v thats baddd.

I've never ever done one tank in a day.

Been close, did 412 miles one day, but the red light didn't come on.

And I only have a 35 litre tank
