had a quiz at college today on all the stuff we have done up until now,

the title of the quiz was
'what have you learned?'

just didnt sound right in my head

i thought it should of said
'what have you learnt?'

which one is correct?

second of course..

These are alternative forms of the past tense and past participle of the verb learn. Learnt is more common in British English, and learned in American English. There are a number of verbs of this type (burn, dream, kneel, lean, leap, spell, spill, spoil etc.). They are all irregular verbs, and this is a part of their irregularity

Google says the second one is more British English.

I'd write the first one but say it in my head as the second, if that make's any sense.

yeh that makes sense.

i thought i was getting it wrong with it saying the first one on the sheet, but it just sounded wrong in my head. so thought id ask to clear it up
