I know its months away, but im thinking about getting a car for my gf's birthday in July, and was thinking about saving up for it so i don't have to take a loan or anything or no finance etc, will be putting £150/month, so by june will have about £1,050 probs put a bit more on the last month, just wondering what people would recommend preferbly a 1.0, 3dr. Any colour, i was thinking either Corsa/KA/Polo.

Have any of you got any ideas?

Ka's are not a good car, dangerous really

I'd go for the Polo out of those three.

Or try and get a Yaris.

Joe is going to love me.

Of course any car will be good but my 12v has been perfect, never let me down in 20k miles.

I was looking at Polo's for my missus once. For the same money, you get a superior Fiesta or Corsa. Polo's for £2k (budget at the time) were a lot worse in terms of mileage & condition than £2k Fiestas/Corsas. Seemed to be paying for the VW badge. I'd imagine it's the same case at the £1k price bracket.

they do go forever but they are quite gutless and noisey in comparison to the 1.25

KA has by far the best handling chassis. Also what the "designer name badge" type of girl would go for. Still the best choice.

£1k will get you a polo for the lates 80's era. Nahhhhh

Corsa for cheapness and if shes a car modified.
